Through its charitable investments, Community 1st Credit Union helps enrich the lives of our members and the communities we serve. The C1st Foundation, developed in 2016, supports causes close to our hearts – financial literacy, mental wellness/suicide prevention, and community betterment. Since 2019, we’ve given away over $350,000 to local non-profit organizations. C1st grant-funded project awards are made possible through the C1st Credit Union Impact Giving Fund of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.
Grant Application
- Guidelines for Submission
• Applications are reviewed semi-annually (May and November)
• Grant givings must align with our charitable giving mission statement, including the following themes:
• Financial Literacy / Education
• Mental Wellness / Suicide Prevention
• Community Betterment
• C1st member and/or employee involvement is important.
• Request must be from a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
• Minimum $1,000 per request.
